Do I need your service if our high school has a college counseling office?

400:1 Is the average ratio of counselors to students in public high schools. In many cases, your student isn’t able to get the personalized attention, time, and hands-on support they need to make their college decision in the best way possible.

At Crosby College Coaching, our ratio is much lower, allowing us to fully focus on you and your student! Our goal is to complement the services of your school, and offer an unprecedented level of project management, support, and tailored guidance.

How much does a parent need to be involved when working with a college counselor?

With our expert guidance, we free up parents (who are already working hard enough!) to focus on spending quality time with their student. As a parent, you’ll help inform us of your student’s strengths, weaknesses, and budgetary considerations. Then, you can be involved as much or as little as makes sense for you and your student (without controlling their experience, of course!).

Do you work with student athletes?

Yes! Our Student Athlete Guidance service provides Juniors and Seniors tailored guidance during the recruitment process. Whether they’re an heavily recruited MVP or simply looking to keep playing their favorite sport during their college years, we’ll help them identify specific and appropriate athletic opportunities to align with their academic goals.

Why doesn’t Crosby College Coaching list where their students have been admitted/enrolled?

Teenagers today live in a fast-paced world full of opportunities to compare (and despair). We don't intend to feed into that, and instead focus on YOUR student's best fit options: personally, socially, academically, and financially. We aim to see your student on a campus where they can take advantage of all the possibilities.

We’ve guided students to Ivy League options, liberal arts schools, flagship state schools, as well as WUE scholarships and other unique paths. We commit to always bringing an open-minded, non-judgemental approach to each and every individual we work with! Personal fit is our top priority at Crosby College Coaching.
